Simone Michelle

Hi, I’m Simone Michelle and the founder of Balance and Flow 4life. I have called the beautiful Sunshine Coast home for the last 25 years originally from the Northern Beachers in Sydney. I feel so blessed to have raised my two sons now adults in such a wonderful place and now share my home with one son, my rescue dog Cedar and cat Milly.

Balance and Flow 4life has evolved from my passions and many experiences sharing mindfulness, meditation, holistic wellbeing and yoga with both children and adults. I had previously worked as a Dental Nurse and many years as a Child Care Educator, all my roles have allowed me to share my gifts, support, nurture and inspire.

I also hold a current Blue Card #421741/7 for working with children.

My Family

My son was suffering greatly from anxiety and having a terrible time coping with my separation from my ex-husband and the transition from daycare to school.

Children that suffer from anxiety, worries and fears need adults to guide them and show them tools and skills to empower themselves.

I looked for programs but there was not much available with a holistic approach, this is when Balance and Flow Kids was born. I have successfully run yoga and mindfulness sessions, in daycare centres, After School Yoga, Mindful Girls Group, School Holiday Workshops and private sessions with my recent qualification Calm Coach.

I continue to offer programs for children and families under the umbrella of Balance and Flow 4life.

Discovering Yoga & Meditation

I have always had an interest in Meditation from in my teens as my dad meditated and would give me a recorded meditation to listen to if I couldn’t sleep or were stressed from teenage life. I continued the meditation path, completed training and over the years discovered who powerful it is in everyday life and the many benefits. 

Yoga came into my life in my 20’s and I continued to practise on and off until working in childcare I suffered from a disc bulge and gentle yoga saved me from back surgery. I have completed my 200hr hours and Kids yoga training, I am passionate about sharing yoga for the whole mind, body and spirit. I LOVE guiding mediation sessions and restorative yoga and have an interest in the moons or goddess energy that I bring into all my classes.

My Ayurveda Journey

My interest in Ayurveda became when it was touch on in my yoga training. It then got my interest again when I travel to Sri Lanka and enjoy a talk from Ayurveda doctor that came to the retreat I was on, she was a true Goddess.

I am currently studying (2024) to be a Ayurveda Health Advisor with Hale Pule.
I have made changes in my diet – ahar and lifestyle – vihar and follow the principles of Ayurveda, have already notice huge changes and benefits.
